Seven Takeaways from Business School

Here are my seven biggest reflections from my final, whirlwind, and happy year at GSB 📚

1️⃣ "The two most dangerous words are: not now."
What would you do if there was no chance of failure? What journey would you take? (Graham Weaver)

2️⃣ "Storytelling is a superpower."
Did you know that data is 22x more memorable when shared through a story? Work on this, you'll leave a lasting impact. (Allison Kluger)

3️⃣ "Live life on precipice of a smile."
Enthusiasm is contagious, be a carrier.  Humor increases influence, builds bonds, enhances creativity, and boosts resilience. (Jennifer Aaker)

4️⃣ "Get out of your own way."
Power is a tool: you either master it, or it will master you. Tell your own narrative or someone else will. (Jeffrey Pfeffer)

5️⃣ "Leadership is about everyone but you."
Good leaders empower others. (Robert E. Siegel)

6️⃣ "Say what you like—and what you would like."
Easiest and most effective way to give feedback. You can just observe behavior, don't infer motivation. (Glenn Kramon)

7️⃣ "You shine by making others look good." (Irv Grousbeck)

🎱 Arbuckle salad tastes better in class... and then you don't have to miss a noon swim workout to eat lunch

💡 Biggest Reflection:
Focus on solving problems that break your heart. Make no little plans. They have no power to stir one’s blood. You won't wake up with regrets.
